Sculpture is a visual art class that explores 3-D form. The primary focus in sculpture will be working with clay, but students also use wire, cardboard and other materials to create sculptures.

Students explore various techniques and processes such as throwing on the potter's wheel, handbuilding techniques including slab, coil and pinch pot to create functional and sculptural work.

Students apply the elements of art, principles of design, color, theory, as well as drawing and painting skills. Through the imaginative use of models, drawings, photographs, traditional and contemporary art history, students will create three-dimensional sculptures
